A Gap Year Program
Cromwell Christian School of Ministry is an Intensive Training School and Gap Year Program.
Gap Year is a one-year program for high school or college graduates to become rooted in their calling and equipped to live out their purpose on the earth! Gap Year programs are increasingly popular with young adults, as they seek direction and embrace service opportunities.
Mary | Classes
Students spend their mornings in prayer, worship, and classroom instruction. This is the “Mary” portion of the program, where they learn to welcome and carry God’s presence.
Our curriculum includes a wide range of subjects that we feel will best equip students to make an impact in the world today: biblical studies, current events, and everyday Kingdom living.
The course schedule is divided into two semesters. Fall Semester runs from September through December. Following a short break, the Spring Semester runs from January into the first week of May. Days begin with 7:00am prayer, followed by worship at 8:30am, and class from 9:00am-12:30pm. CCSM teaches one class at a time, in 1-week intensives.
Courses are graded, and students must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA to graduate CCSM.
Martha | Practicum
The second component, the “Martha” portion of CCSM, is Practicum. Every student must complete 105 hours of Practicum service. This is practical application, through outreaches, block parties, toy drives, ministry to women in crisis, and feeding over 65,000 families in Baltimore every week.
All practicum hours are evaluated for attitude, teachability, initiative, and task execution. Students must complete all hours with at least “Average” rating on every metric to graduate CCSM.
Lazarus Come Forth!
We believe that when we worship like Mary and serve like Martha, we can see Lazarus come forth! CCSM is a school of the Holy Spirit. Students are empowered to carry the presence of God as they walk in their spiritual gifts. They are ambassadors of the Kingdom of God, advancing the Kingdom and influencing change everywhere they go.
We see God moving in miracles, signs, and wonders; and are hungry for more of Him!
